Good morning, friends! I hope you are all having a nice week! I know it's only Wednesday, but I'm already looking forward to the weekend.. haha! ;)
I've mentioned this before, but I love having a sewing machine because even if I buy clothes that aren't exactly how I like, I'm able to fix it up a bit and make it fit me and my style. A couple months ago, Macy's was having an amazing sale. Of course I had to check out their Free People section to get in on the action. I came across the beautiful Azalea dress and was able to get it for less than half the original price! I fell in love with the pretty design on the fabric. When I tried it on, I realized that it had elastic cuffed sleeves, which I despise. I feel SO restricted in them, and don't like the way they look on me! Luckily a pair of scissors and a few stitches did the trick ;) I love the flowy way the sleeves ended up. Definitely more my style. The shoulders also had a lot of extra fabric on them.. it made the shoulders poofy! So I fixed that up as well.
Also, it's summer now... be prepared for an overload of dresses, hehe! And sorry for the heavily filtered photos. My camera setting was off and it was close to impossible to get them to look like natural coloring! D:
By the way, the name of this dress reminds me of Iggy Azalea. Cannot stand her, lol.
^Here is the dress when I tried it on right out of the package. The elastic sleeves bugged me, and the shoulders were too big and poofy!
