Four Steps to Summer Beauty with Walgreens

When it comes to makeup, my routine definitely changes seasonally. When it's winter, I make sure my foundation is on point. For spring, I love using bright colors that pop. For summer, I like to wear as little makeup as possible. Since I'm definitely out in the sun more, I tend to not wear foundation, not as much blush, and so on. I want to feel light and FRESH with my makeup! It's time to flaunt your natural beauty. Because of this, summer beauty is one of my favorites :) Walgreens is a gold mine for awesome makeup for the summer-- they had everything I needed!

Today I'll be sharing my FOUR favorite products that help enhance your summer natural beauty but keep you looking and feeling fresh.
First off-- hairspray. If I had time to curl my hair every day, I would. But with work early on the weekdays, it's not always a possibility. This Mark Hill Fabulous Finish Hairspray found at Walgreens keeps my curls in place without making my hair crunchy or flaky. And how cute is the design!? It is too darling!
Next up: Mascara! I've mentioned before that I need mascara to help open up my little Asian eyeballs. I am always on the hunt for a cheap yet effective mascara, and I have LOVED using Maybelline's Pumped Up Colossal Volum'Express mascara. It dries quickly and layers on thick so that I don't have to use multiple coats! Definitely a must for the summer. Do you see on the second photo of the mascara where I'm just holding the wand? The end of the brush gets very narrow, making it easier to apply mascara on your bottom lashes. Love it.

Funny side note: During summers in high school, I would use a clear mascara since I didn't feel the need to wear makeup when it was summer. Looking back, I don't know why I even bothered using a clear mascara! HAHA.
Next up: Lips! This Colorstay Moisture Stain by Revlon adds a punch of color on your lips for long lasting lusciousness. A little bit goes a long way, and the color is here to stay! It's always fun to play with lip color, and the Cannes Crush hue reminds me of fruit punch or something. Very summery ;)
Last but not least... Nail color! Doing my nails is a year-round thing, but of course when it's summer I want some light and airy colors. Essie is one of my favorite brands, and I am loving the pink Fiji color and the blue Mint Candy Apple color. In the photo above, I'm wearing Mint Candy Apple as an accent nail. Walgreens has a large assortment of Essie (and other brands!) nail polish, you will have a tough time deciding which to bring home with you : )
Before ---> After.
I love how (on my face/hair) I'm only using three products, but I still look ready to go! It's as simple as that.
So there ya go! All it takes is four products to look fresh for the hot summer months. Be sure to stop by your local Walgreens to pick up YOUR summer fresh beauty essentials.

One last thing! Between now and August 30th, you can get a FREE travel-size make-up brush set with any $20 beauty and personal care purchase (excluding baby category). All you need to do is visit this Walgreens page HERE to grab the coupon! Make sure you take advantage of this amazing offer!
