our first valentines day: a recap.

this past valentine's day was our first one together, ever :) i'm so happy that i was able to share this day with justin. this year's valentine's day was definitely better than last year's when i stayed home, painted my nails and watched a chick flick and hung out with my poor roommate who was sick (i still love you, haley;)

anyways, it was a dang busy day. i had class from 9:30-1pm. then work from 1-5. then class from 5-6:30. then i had to go take a test. looong day. justin had a similar schedule - class, work, study, test. i was sad we weren't going to go out or anything, but i was fine because i figured by the time i was done with my test, restaurants would be packed anyways. we planned on just eating together at home.

when i got back to my apartment, i came home to...

flowers, a romantic ambiance, and dinner. all made. justin had skipped his last class so that he could have dinner ready when i got home after 7. i teared up a lil, it was so sweet of him. and cooking is definitely the last thing i want to do after a long day haha. although we didn't do anything out of this world, just being with my man was all i needed.

we enjoyed a dinner together while watching, of course, AMERICAN IDOL (i'm obsessed with this show. Nicki Minaj is so bizarrely hilarious). it was so nice to sit, eat, relax, and laugh with my lover!

poor boy was so tired afterwards...

i then attempted to make peanut butter cookies. FYI, i can definitely cook a meal. but i CANNOT for the life of me, bake. i think i got it from my mama, haha although she's definitely gotten better ;) hopefully over time, i will too...

after adding more flour to my dough, they turned out ok. not great, but just ok...

(dipped um in chocolate ha)

although it was an ordinary day, i am so grateful that we were able to spend time with together on valentine's day and just relax. thanks for making it special, honey! can't wait to share infinity more valentines wiff you :)) xo

how were your valentine's day, friends!? any fun stories?? :))
