Life Hacks to Keep You Healthy with Centrum VitaMints

As a 24 year old with no kids at the moment, I am trying really hard to take this time in my life to do things for ME. I LOVE being outside, riding my bike, reading a book, going on walks, going to the gym, painting, reading, eating out, going to girl's nights, and just exploring the beautiful world around me. With all these hobbies plus work and this blog, I'm pretty busy every day. I NEED good health to keep up with all of my activities, and I have a few life hacks that keep me streamlined and focused daily.


Take your vitamins! - I used to not be the greatest at remembering to take my vitamins every day, which wasn't good because I know it's good for me! Centrum VitaMints* makes it EASY to stay healthy. Get plenty of rest - this is pretty obvious, but for me I need a good night's sleep to keep me up and focused. If I don't get good sleep, I feel tired and groggy at work, then I am unmotivated to do anything else when I come home! To help me get to sleep at night, I love reading a bit in bed beforehand. It's such a relaxing way to end the day rather than being on my phone.

Get your fitness on - I've had a gym membership here in Oregon for over a year now, and I have loved it. It feels so great to move my body. Some great ways to get you motived to work out? Cute new gym clothes, a killer playlist, and finding something you love as a workout. Currently I am obsessed with a hip hop-y dance class I've been attending, and it gets me excited to go work out! I also love apps on my phone that track my steps, and I try to get to 10,000 steps if I can.
Keep a water bottle with you at all times - They say when it comes to water, drink your weight in ounces every day. This may seem like a daunting task, but it's SO easy when you just keep a water bottle with you. Once of the first things I do when I get to work is fill up my water bottle, and I constantly find myself reaching over to take a drink. I honestly prefer water over soda because I have come to love drinking water.
Live in a clean space - Keeping our apartment clean is a big deal to us. Although our place is small, I try to have "a place for everything and everything in its place". It's definitely helpful for my mental well being when our place is clean! One of my biggest secrets is using pretty wicker baskets. In the photo below, you can see we have a basket under our end table. The basket has all of our games at the bottom, then a couple blankets on top. This way the games and blankets aren't just all over, they are organized into one place.
We also use a basket for our cereal. It used to all just be sitting around on top of the fridge, but the basket looks nicer and it's convenient to take it down and choose our breakfast ;)

Another little hack to keep our place clean - we don't have a dishwasher, so we have to hand wash our dishes. Rather than leaving the dish drying pad out, I stuck a hook to the inside of a cupboard and hooked a clip onto it so that the pad would be out of the way when we didn't have dishes drying! Keeps the counters decluttered and I love it!


So there you go, some of my life hacks to stay healthy. It's nothing groundbreaking, but I know that it's the little things that add up to make a big difference - from keeping our place clean to exercising and taking my vitamins, it's been a big help to balance my every day life.
