A Year of Ivoire

Good morning and happy Wednesday, ladies! If you've been reading my blog the past year, maybe you noticed (and maybe you didn't notice) that I have been styling my Anthropologie "Ivoire" dress every month. When I first wanted to purchase this dress a year ago, I was very hesitant because of the price. The dress was originally almost $200, but the one I got was on sale for $99. My blog motto is "affordable & adorable style for the cheap, chic girl", and I do my best to live up to that. I hate paying too much for anything. I was stoked that I didn't have to pay full price for the beautiful dress I had my eyes on for a while, but I quickly learned that quality over quantity is something to live by as a style blogger.

Because I made a hefty purchase (for me), I decided that I would style the dress in several ways to get the most bang for my buck. It soon turned to be a monthly thing, and well... it has been twelve months now! I can't believe it!

I've had people as me where they can find similar dresses, since the Ivoire dress at Anthro is sold out (but you check eBay... I've seen some there!). I have come across two that are really similar, especially the design of the lace, which I think is the best part of the Ivoire dress! It is so beautiful.

The dress on the left is probably the closest match I've seen. And right now it's ON SALE for $20. WOWZA! Doesn't get much better than that!!
The dress on the right is a little more expensive, but I LOVE the Victorian look of it.. I mean, look at that neckline!! It's so pretty! And the length is elegant as well.

Let's take a look at the past year, shall we?
I have to be honest, it wasn't the easiest to style it every month! I took quite a few tries some months ;)

I hope you enjoyed the past year of Ivoire dress posts! Thanks for reading! xO
