Can you believe we are halfway through February?! Where in the world does time go? It will be spring before we know it! For those of you high school aged girls that read my blog, I know you are probably looking forward to something very fun in the next couple months.... prom!
I loved high school dances! The asking, the planning, the shopping... it was so much fun to get dressed up and have a great time with friends. The most fun part of prom for me was definitely dress shopping! Did you know that David's Bridal is THE place to go for all of your prom needs? I browsed their David’s Prom collection and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of dresses and accessories they have for prom! I wish I knew that back in the day. While you may think wedding when David's Bridal comes to mind (I got my own wedding dress there! Loved it!), it is also your one-stop shop for all of your prom needs!
When I went to school dances, I feel like I wore the same styles of dresses a lot. Long, blingy, and big. I wish I would have branched out a little and tried out different styles. David's Prom has so many different prom dresses to cater to every girl's needs, no matter what their style is! From online to in store, they have a great variety of products that will help you feel like a rock star on your big night out.
You might be wondering, what are some prom 2015 trends? For dresses, it's about sleek sophistication, embellishments, comfort and style, back to black, and white haute styles. Accessories trends include shining statement pieces, headbands, and neutral shoes. All of these trends are available in the David's Prom collection! Today I put together four different prom outfits with products from David's Prom incorporating some of these trends. I love that I was able to create such different looks from their amazing selection!
Glitzy Night - I LOVE how this outfit turned out! The blue sequin dress is so fabulous! I wanted to accessorize it with different shades of gold, and I love how it all looks together. This outfit will keep you feeling like a star all night long as you dance the night away!
Bohemian Princess - For all you free spirited ladies. This bright seafoam color is fun, springy, and flirty. It would look amazing with the greek goddess inspired headband! I think a loose low ponytail or big curls would complement the headband nicely. And how pretty would a coral lip be with the dress color? For a relaxed look, I decided to pair it with sandals (still fab, of course!). I wore flats to ONE dance, and I have to say it was the best decision ever. I could dance like crazy and not have my feet hurt! My feet would always hurt by the end of the night when I wore heels, and it was not fun. So, sandals for the win!
Classic Glamour - How could I not include a glamorous black dress? I actually never wore a black dress (I stuck to blues, greens, and red one time), but I so wish I had! It has such a timeless feel to it. The combination of the sequin top and tulle skirt is absolutely amazing. I decided to style it with the most extravagant hair piece, bracelet, and heels I could find. And nothing says classic like a red lip. I love how this look came together!
Short & Sweet - Some girls like wearing dresses that aren't floor length. This beautiful lace dress is soft and feminine. I LOVE the beaded belt on the waist! I kept it classy with pearl bracelets, pearl earrings (seriously LOVE the earrings!), and simple shoes. A cute outfit like this needs to be topped off with some pink lipstick!
As you can see, the David's Prom collection has quite the variety of dresses, shoes, jewelry, clutches, you name it! No more running around to different stores to find each part of your perfect prom outfit, because they have it all! They have prom dresses from $99 in sized 2-24W; truly something for everyone! Use their store locater to find a David's Bridal store near to shop the David's Prom collection. They have over 300 stores nationwide!
