Finding the Right Hair Routine for Me

I know right now in the hair care world, people are all about no shampooing! and organic everything! and dry shampoo. It baffles me how some people only need to wash their hair once a week and it looks amazing. I can't go more than a day in between hair washing! I have tried so many different kinds of dry shampoos, and it just doesn't work for me. People tell me "you need to train your hair!", but well... I've actually been trying for a year and a half, and guess what? No good. If I don't wash my hair at least every other day, I will look a fool with my greasy locks!

I believe it's most important to find out for yourself what the best hair routine is for YOU. I always felt like my hair was messed up because I can't go a long time without washing it. The thing is, everyone's hair is different! It's okay if you have to wash your hair every day, or can go only washing once a week! EMBRACE your locks, and make the most of what you've been given!

I recently have been using two different shampoos recommended by NYC dermatologist, Dr. Marnie Nussbaum and a celebrity hair stylist, Naté Bova. Aviva's Hydracreme Shampoo smells like freshly squeezed oranges, and is a shampoo that is made with natural and organic ingredients. It is sulfate free, paraben free, and doesn't contain harsh chemicals. This shampoo works to eliminate buildup without stripping your hair of the moisture it needs, leaving your locks nourished and your scalp soothed! This shampoo was amazing-- it really did smooth my hair so much! I had to do a double take at first because it felt like I was using a conditioner instead of a shampoo!

The second shampoo I've used recently is the Sebamed Scalp Activating Shampoo. This is a pH balanced wash that naturally supports scalp circulation, which is essential for hair growth and thicker looking hair. This alkali-free scalp shampoo treats sensitive and delicate scalp conditions while eliminating dandruff.

It has taken me a long time to finally get healthy hair. It used to be SO extremely fried and choppy, but I couldn't be happier with where it is now. It feels soft, nourished, and healthy! Now only if it could grow a little faster . . . ;-)

If you're looking for a shampoo that will do good for your hair, scalp, and self esteem, be sure to check out these two great shampoos!
