Inspired by The Daybook

Toward the end of my freshman year of college, my cutest friend Natalie introduced me to the world of blogging. The blogs that moved me the most were fashion blogs. I was so completely taken back by this world I had never known of. After I found a few cute fashion blogs, I stayed up all night reading through them. I loved that people could create fun, fresh, and cute outfits with a simple twist of creativity. I don't feel like I dressed bad at this point in my life, but I knew the things I wore were all pretty basic. I wanted to learn to play with colors, patterns, and textures more.

I think we can all agree that we all have a crush on Sydney of The Daybook Blog. I still find myself looking through her archives for outfit ideals! And this outfit in particular is one I have been wanting to copy for ages! I finally found some pieces that are similar to what she is wearing. I know it's not all exactly the same and I'm not quite as fabulous as she is, I love how she paired a plain top with a pleated skirt. So that is what I did ;)
top: Zara (last worn here) || skirt: Uniqlo Tokyo

Super cute interpretation!! I kinda miss the old days of Sydney's blog, all she wears now is variations of black and grey. Not as creative with color as she used to be! Maybe that's what happens when you start having kids?! YIKES!
