We started our day off by attending the Provo Parade with Justin's friend, and the friend's family. I hadn't been to a parade in who knows how long, so it was fun to go again. It was great weather up until the end, where it got blazin' hot!!
But lucky for us, we headed up to my in-law's neighborhood pool to take a dip. It was so great! I work during the day, so I usually miss the prime time for swimming. There's really nothing I love more than soaking up the sun by a pool!!
And a funny side story-- when we first got in the pool, I felt someone squirting cold water on my back. I turned around, thinking it was my sister in law's husband, but no. It was a random little 4 year old blonde child with one of those big tube squirt gun things. He was just laughing at us, and kept squirting us... for 10 minutes! I have no idea where this dude's parents were. haha. kids these days...!!
Afterwards we enjoyed a yummy dinner at my in law's house with Justin's sister and her husband.
Erika and I looked super patriotic together.
After dinner, Justin and I headed back to Provo, and watched the fireworks that were happening at Stadium of Fire. We weren't actually in the stadium, but the view was still pretty decent! The fireworks were lovely. I absolutely love fireworks!! They are definitely a highlight of summer!
Anyways, I really really enjoyed my day off! Life doesn't get much better than good company, good food, good fireworks, no work, and celebrating what our country is all about!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!
