Lace + Florals? Fun Fun Fun.

First off- Holy changes to Blogger! I'm still trippin but I'm hoping it'll be easier to use! ha!

I usually pick out my outfits the night before.
But lately life has been a little cray cray,so I have not been doing that.
This is an outfit I came up with right before I left for class. And I actually liked it.

Lace and florals make for a sweet & girly combination.
Is it just me,or does dressing cute make your whole attitude better?
"Look good.. Feel good".
Sometimes it's totally true. haha.

I'm seriously in love with these combat booties. In. LOVE.

Shirt/Skirt: Forever21
Earrings/Scarf: Won from 2 different giveaways!
Tights: DSW,discounted.
Boots: GoJane.com

It's funny how a fun outfit like this can just make my whole day seem so much better.

Combat Bootie Lovinnn'!

I've been wanting combat boots for the longest time.
Seriously.
But I have small feet,and they look kind of funny on me when the shoe is not exactly my size.
(I once tried on a pair that were just a little bigger and I looked like a clown)
But.
I finally found my perfect match.
I am very very pleased with my order!
They had MY size 5... They had many colors and styles... They were all amazing prices. The quality of the shoe is incredible.
This is what they look like:

Yeah I about died when I saw they were only $29.

LOVE MY THRITED BACKPACK. Can you tell....

(sorry it's out of focus) but I got these tights at Walmart for $5. I love them. Because they're nice and thick... Black... but NOT boring (:

Close-upppp.

Cardi: Old Navy.
Necklace: Forever21.
Shirt/Belt/Backpack: Thrifted. {$5. $1. $10}
Shorts: Target sale {$8}
Tights: Walmart.
Booties: GoJane.com

MAJOR swoonage. Majorrrrr.

GRAM GLAM: A Refashion Story.

This post: is dedicated to my aunts who I know have been waiting for me to post this... :D

Over the Christmas break...
I inherited an heirloom.

My sweet grandmother gave me a sweater that used to be her mother's.
My little brother dubbed it the "Gram Glam" sweater.
My great grandmother really loved clothes and bling,from what I've heard...
So I was very pleased to receive one of her sweaters!
It's gold and black. It has cool patterns on it. It's very lovely.
However...

...It maybe was just a tad bit too large.
So,being the little refashionista that I'm trying to make myself be...
I snipped off the shoulder pads,took in the sides a bit,and took in the sleeves.

Ready,set... Refashion!

No more baggy arms! Hooray!

Earrings: Won from a giveaway!
Necklace: Gift,Banana Republic.
Sweater: Great Grandmother's hand-me-down.
Watch: Juicy Couture,c/o TeenVogue.
Skirt: TJ Maxx,discounted.
Tights: Walmart.
Booties: Payless Shoes,sale.

Total cost of this outfit?
Skirt ($6) + Tights ($5) + Booties ($13) = $24.
So,there ya go! Loveee my new gram glam sweater. I can't wait to wear it in other ways! :D
Thanks,Great Grandma Dean!

Did anyone do somethin super fun this weekend?!
I went home and chilled with my family! I had a lovely lovely time!
Also did some awesome thrifting. Can't wait to create new looks.

Cobalting.

Yeah yeah yeahhh!
I finallyy jumped on the colored pants bandwagon. It's about time!
I LOVE cobalt blue. It's so pretty.

Two boys and one girl on campus told me they liked my pants.
And the girl said she liked my hair.
Haha. What nice folks they are.

My cute photographer Alissa insisted on taking a picture of my backside.
Surprise! It's a hair clip! haha {ignore the millions of bobby pins on my head.}

Soooo,this cute lil jacket? I've had it for 6 or 7 years now! And I haven't worn it in forever,but while I was home for Christmas break I saw it... I ALMOST donated it to a thrift store.. but then I didn't. And I'm glad,because I had totally forgotten how much I loved wearing it as a punk 14 year old.

Jacket: Sooooo old! I think I got it at Ross!
Necklace/Shirt: Forever21.
Pants/Shoes: Target.
Do you guys ever find old/outdated clothes that you bring back to life?!
It's pretty fun eh? (:
Have a fabbbbulous day,friends!! <3

EBEW: Valentine's Pink + Red.

IT SNOWED THIS WEEKEND!
So it was cold.
So I didn't have the patience to take pics in good lighting.
But just pay attention to the outfit,not the lighting :D

Today I'm participating in EBEW's Valentine's Day Challenge: Pairing pink and red together!
*LOVE LOVE*

Valentine's Day. Hmm. I don't know how I feel about this day. It's cute and stuff,ya know? But it's kind of lame when you don't have a significant other. But what-ever. I'll like it when I'm all murried and such.
I totally remember the good old elementary school days... I would always slip an extra candy in my crush's Valentine's Day box.
I distinctly remember a boy in first grade. Can we please just call him Charlie for my sake?!
I bought him a WHOLE pack of gum,cut out a heart,and wrote a note:
"Charlie. I just love you so much."
Haha. He wouldn't let me forget about that for a few years after that happened.
Fun times.

(It was snowing. I was cold.)

Knit hat: Charlotte Russe
Cardi/Necklace/Belt: Forever21
Shirt: TJ Maxx
Wedges: Target,sale.

I have a hot date... Yeah,with the University library -_-
Such is my life <3

But on the brightside,I get to see my family this weekend! I AM SO EXCITED.
The countdown has already begun!!

Oh and also by the wayyy..
I was bored. So I cut my own bangs.
What think ye of this?!

Life Craziness

Hello,fabulous readers!
So I hope you guys don't think that I'm just totally lazy or anything.
But life's been pretty crazy recently...

I've been sick. I'm taking 14 credits + 3 more credits for an on-campus internship where I have to put in 9 hours a week. Homework. Studying. Class hours. Church. Keeping my apartment clean. Going to the gym. Unexpected things coming my way. Stress.

So I will confess,I have not been taking outfit photos as of late. ):
I'm going to get back on track as soon as I'm over my nasty cold.
But in the mean time,since I've seen a few other bloggers do it,I thought maybe I'd answer any kind of questions you might have for me? Random silly facts? Advice on anything? Just general questions about my blog?
I get questions periodically by email,so I'll post some of those as well!

That way it'll give me something to do until I can get creative again...
Thanks,friends! I hope you have a lovely Monday!! :D

Thrifting Escapades.

Sometimes I just have THE BEST thrifty finds.
And I wanted to share some on my bloggy.
Today's spotlight thrift store is....
GOODWILL!
They have pretty great stuff for super cheap!!

Oh dang look at these rainboots! It's too bad they were too big ):

Sparkle sparkleeee! Again,they were too big....

Uhmmmm,how cute is this dress!?
(Apparently I'm too lazy to take off my clothes to try on other clothes...)
I got it for my little sister for Christmas. Haha.
It's an eggplant purple color. LOVE it. {$7}

You better believe I purchased this $10 beauty! JUST LOOK AT IT! I'm so so so in love!!!!!!

Uhmm. I almost died when I saw these. I've seen them at Target,but I didn't want to pay for them... And then they had them at Goodwill... Except they were too large.
Curse youuu,tiny feet ):

Oh how I love thrifting.

Wearing Primary Colors,Part II.

Accessorizing with pops of color is one of my favorite ways to spice up a neutral based outfit! It adds a fun twist to the classic black/white.

{I procrastinated on getting my pics done.. so it's dark AND rainy. Whoops.}
But instead of taking the basic "red. yellow. and blue",
it's fun to switch it up with different hues.
Such as:
Yellow --> mustard yellow
Blue--> turquoise blue
Red --> bright cherry red.

{close-up of the accessories.}

Headband: Provo Farmer's Market.
Cardi: Thrifted,Old Navy.
Necklace/Shirt: Forever21.
Bracelet: Friend got it for me from Thailand!
Jeans: Miss Me's.
Boots: UrbanOG.com.

I'm seriously obsessed with these three colors together.
So. There you have Part II!
If you don't want to full-on wear all the primary colors together,
make sure to consider them as a fun way to accessorize! :D
